IJland

BRAND IDENTITY FOR IJLAND

IJland tax and administration is a small bookkeeping company based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I was asked to design their brand identity when I asked them to do my administration. To do my own bookkeeping was always an annoying and tedious task.

I let IJland do this job for me so I didn’t have to be annoyed anymore. This became the concept for the Ijland logo: “Mens erger je niet” in Dutch or “Don’t be annoyed” aka Ludo. I designed this brand identity many years ago. Today IJland has a different look.

* Logo/typeface drawn by hand. Loosly based on Ludo (aka “Mens erger je niet”).

* Letterhead and invoice.

* Various envelopes and business card.

* All clients received this birthday card on their birthday.

GO Toyota Experience

# GO TOYOTA EXPERIENCE

Since 2017 a huge 2 day event is held at the Toyota HQ in Raamsdonksveer (NL). At this event everyone could come to test drive the new Toyotas of their choice, see unique old cars in the Louwman & Parqui museum, meet their favourite Olympic athletes and have something to drink and eat. Around 8000 people came to this free event.

The GO Toyota Experience was organised by Bax Projects (baxprojects.nl). They asked me to do the graphic design for all items needed. I designed over 180 items for this event: The big letters in front of the main building, flags, banners, posters, signing, folders, flyers, lanyards, event coins, badges and many more. Below you’ll find some of them as well as a photo impression of the event.

# GO TOYOTA EXPERIENCE – FIRST EDITION

GO Toyota Experience - 2017

The first edition of the GO Toyota Experience was held in 2017 and it was an immediate success. Not only because of the nice weather but also because the way it was being organised by the people of Bax Projects. This was one of the first bigger projects they asked me to do the graphic design.

Buddha to Buddha book

Buddha to Buddha - book and sleeve

12.5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BOOK

Originally known for their really heavy silver bracelet, over the years Buddha to Buddha became an internationally famous brand. Not only selling beautifully handmade jewellery but also clothing and accessories.

After designing their website and company catalogues, I was asked to design a special book in honour of the 12.5 year anniversary of the Buddha to Buddha brand. It took more than 6 months to collect the photos and stories from all those years and arrange them in the order we wanted. It became a huge 30 x 30 x 5 cm collectable coffee table book with linnen dust cover and silver edged pages. The book was protected by a special designed sleeve. It was a joy to design this together with Buddha to Buddha founder Batul Loomans and designer Osiris Hertman who was then their jewellery designer.

Illustrations for iWriter

ILLUSTRATIONS MADE FOR iWRITER (now Templafy)

A SELECTION OF A FEW DOZEN ILLUSTRATIONS A MADE FOR THE iWRITER WEBSITE

iWriter made software which helped other companies and (local) authorities integrate their brand identity into their e-mail, letters, quotes and invoices. Templates in the iWriter software helped standardise how those e-mails, letters etc. were sent. The iWriter software was linked with Microsofts Office products like Outlook, Word and Sharepoint.

The illustrations needed to explain how the iWriter software works and how it could work for companies and (local) authorities.
All illustrations made with Adobe Illustrator and with the then current company colours. The illustration above is a combination of some of the most iconic buildings in the Dutch city of Eindhoven where iWriter has their HQ.

Note: iWriter recently merged with Templafly.
